Getting involved with the David Dewett Veterans Memorial Wayside Foundation is both simple and meaningful.

Our Memorial Brick Program offers a lasting way to honor those who have served. By purchasing a commemorative engraved brick ($40–$150), you create a permanent tribute to a veteran or loved one while directly supporting the care and preservation of this sacred place.

Donations sustain the heart of our work — funding maintenance, flag replacements, landscaping, and the patriotic ceremonies that keep the memorial a place of reflection and community pride.

Volunteering is another way to make a difference. Whether lending a hand during site work parties, assisting at Memorial Day or Veterans Day events, or helping with outreach, volunteers play an essential role in keeping the memorial strong.

The David Dewett Veterans Memorial offers a meaningful way to recognize and remember our military personnel. The paver bricks that surround the memorial form a circle of tribute — honoring those who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice and acknowledging all veterans who have served.

By purchasing a paver brick, you help sustain this Living Memorial. Your contribution ensures that the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our veterans remain visible and remembered. Each brick becomes a permanent expression of gratitude, carrying forward the legacy of those who stood in service to our nation.

Paver Brick Details

4″ x 8″ Brick Includes up to three lines of text, with 17 characters per line.

8″ x 8″ Brick Offers an additional three lines of text and the option to include a personalized logo.

Paver Brick Costs Please note that the original purchase price includes all setup and processing fees charged by the company that crafts the pavers.

The proceeds from brick sales support the ongoing care of the memorial and help fund initiatives that benefit veterans and their families. Each brick is more than a donation — it is a lasting legacy for someone who has served.

Over time, some pavers have begun to show natural wear, with several having been in place for nearly two decades. If you would like to replace a worn brick, you may submit a replacement request:

4″ x 8″: $75.00

8″ x 8″: $150.00, plus $10.00 per line added

If you want a personalized logo on the 8″ x 8″, there is an additional cost of $30.00

Once we receive the checks and forms for the pavers, the journey begins:

Order Processing: After the checks and forms are submitted, it takes up to 4 months for the pavers to be prepared and ready for placement.

Scheduling Installation: To ensure a smooth installation, we wait for an optimal day with favorable weather conditions and gather our dedicated team and volunteers for the placement process.

This careful approach ensures that each paver is placed with the respect and attention it deserves, creating a lasting tribute at the memorial.
